International and domestic flights to Cebu City (Mactan International Airport)
International flights
There are four Airlines, which connect most of the asiatic countries,
as well as Europe and the USA, direct with Cebu City:
SINGAPORE AIRLINES / SILKAIR via Singapore, MALAYSIA AIRLINES via Kuala Lumpur, CATHAY PACIFIC via Hongkong
and QATAR AIRWAYS via Doha.
Domestic Airlines
There are several direct flight connections between Cebu City and most of all the important
cities in the Philippines. Some Airlines offer direct flights even to smaller places like
Caticlan (Boracay), Angeles City (Clark Airbase), Camiguin Island, Siargao Island and
during high season Puert Princesa (Palawan).
The most well-known Airlines, which offer domestic flights are: Philippine Airlines,
Air Philippines, Cebu Pacific, Pacific Airways, Asia Spirit, Soriano Aviations and
Seair.
Booking
Tickets are available direct in the Airlines offices. There are travel agencies, which act
as agent for different Airlines, and they are also able to issue the tickets in a short time.
We advise you to book your tickets well in advance. For advanced booking sometimes
you may even get a discount. During Christmas time, between 15th December and
4th of January, and during Holy Week, many of the domestic flights are booked out
months ahead!
Cancellation and change of bookings are free of charge until 12 o'clock the day before
your flight was booked. Afterwards they will charge you a changing fee of 50 to 100 Pesos.
Lugage
On flights with big aircrafts you are allowed to check-in 18 kilos free of charge.
Flights on smaller airplanes, like Seair, Soriano Aviations and Asia Spirit you are
allowed to check-in only 10 kilos. For 1 kilo overweight they will charge you about
25 Pesos per kilo, depending on the distance.
Airport tax
The airport tax for domestic flights are 100 Pesos. For international flights you have
to pay 550 Pesos.

| Transfer from Cebu City to
Malapascua Island by bus, taxi and boat
Buses from Cebu City to Maya depart between 5am and 11am. Buses of the
companies "Cebu Autobus" and "D'Rough Riders"
depart from the northern bus terminal, which is located near the Shoe Mart
Shopping Center.
The 145 kilometer bus trip takes about
3 hours 30 minutes up to 4 hours and costs
100 Pesos. A Taxi from Cebu City or directly from Mactan
International Airport costs ca. P2700, ca. USD 61, ca. EUR 42 or ca. CHF
61. A taxi ride will take ca. 3 hours.
From early morning to late afternoon several boats from Maya
run directly to Bounty Beach on Malapascua Island. The fare is
40 Pesos per person inclusive the ride to the
outrigger boat at low-tide
or a special ride till 6 pm costs 800 Pesos and later 1000 Pesos. The boat ride takes about 30 minutes.

Boat connection between Malapascua and Santa
Fe (Bantayan Island)
A special ride from Malapascua Island to Santa Fe on Bantayan Island
costs 3000 Pesos.
Travel time is about 2 hours 30 minutes.
Boat connection between Malapascua and San
Isidro (Leyte)
There is a daily boat service from San Isidro
(on Leyte) to Maya. Boats depart at 7am. Fare: 90 Pesos. Journey time: 2 hours.
Departure from Maya to San Isidro at 10am. A special ride from Malapascua
Island to San Isidro costs 3000 Pesos. Journey time about 1 hour 30 minutes.
