Trip to Biliran |

If ever you'll be bored on
Malapascua Island, then charter a boat and do a trip of
your own choice. In April 2003 a trip to Biliran was organized by Cocobana Beach Resort. 14 people formed one group. With the outrigger boat of SeaExplorers we left the island early in the morning. We passed at a marvelous panorama toward Biliran. Sometimes we took a picnic and a bath and went snorkeling in one of the bays. In the afternoon we arrived at Naval on Biliran and chartered Jeepney. we were driving along the rice terraces to a waterfall. Sure, bathing in the fresh water made us very much enjoy! In the evening we found a small friendly restaurant where a marvelous meal was served to us. Finally we went to a disco till we were tired and went back to our hotel to sleep. After a pleasant night we traveled early in the morning with the outrigger boat direct to Caibiran, where we rented a truck. The driver of the truck took us to the foot of Mount Biliran. In a small village there we hired two guides. They showed us the way to the forrest along a river and up to the top of Mount Biliran Volcano. On the way to the volcano we could swim in small and bigger hot water pools. The truck driver was waiting for us, wenn we came back from the mountain. Strait we went back to our boat. Slowly we traveled by a few cool soft drinks and beers, back to Malapascua. A beautiful sunset gave us a very nice and free feeling on the boat. After sunset we knew why we were tired and some of us fell asleep! While dining in the restaurant of Cocobana Beach Resort, we still talked about our experiences during this trip, till deep into the night.

Trip to Calangaman |

If the trip should not takes two days, then
there are numerous of islands, who are not so far from Malapascua. Calangaman is
a very small and pretty island, only one hour and a half from Malapascua Island away. The characteristic of this island is the
unusually long beach. This island is also perfect for scuba diving in
the reef in front. Families prefer this trip, because it's so nice for
diving as well as for swimming in the cristal clear water and sunbathing in the sugar
white sand.
